Brought up in New Zealand and based in Basel, Switzerland, I am a native English speaker obsessed with the written word. I love to read and tend to have stacks of books beside my bed (and on the coffee table, kitchen bench…basically any horizontal surface).
One thing I can promise you is that I’m not a scary grammar goblin. As a copy editor, I’m here to help you refine your voice and your message. As a proofreader, I’m here to make sure that no mistakes distract or detract from your voice and message. Finally, as a writer myself, I know what it’s like to be edited. And I also know that your brain works quite differently when writing than when editing, which is why hiring an editor is always a good idea!
I come from a business analysis and project management background. As well as a BA (Hons), I hold a diploma in proofreading and editing. So you can see, details are my business.
I love to flex the more creative side of my brain by writing articles and blog posts for magazines and websites. My bilingual twins are an endless source of inspiration, as is small-but-fascinating Switzerland.
