Proofreading and copy-Editing Services:

Proofreading—more than just a second pair of eyes

Proofreading is taking care of the nuts and bolts of the document. It’s focused on correcting spelling, grammar, typos and inconsistencies. It can also include checking graphs, images, page numbering, headings, captions etc. Proofreading is the last step before publication and should only be done after a thorough edit. Your proofreader is the person who saves you from sending out a thousand copies of a report titled Lessons from Pubic Consultation. Yes, that actually did happen.

Copy-editing—smoothing out the wrinkles

Copy-editing is the step before proofreading and has more of a focus on style and delivery. It still includes checking for grammar, punctuation and consistency, but also for clarity, style, flow and messaging to make sure you're targeting the audience you want to reach and that your voice or your brand is coming through loud and clear.

If you're still not sure what you need, just get in touch.
